It’s not always easy to identify the starting point of an idea or a design, but I can clearly remember what inspired me when I began to work on the design of the fabric which ultimately became the cloth for my teddy bear, Cedric. I had in my mind the colours of autumn, the mix of soft reds, muted gold and hints of yellow like the beautiful soft sunlight that is so special in late September.

As I worked at my loom and wove these beautiful threads together I could see in my mind’s eye all the colours of a cascade of falling leaves.
